Q&A With The Outline
If you don't already know The Outline, you should. Check out their Q&A with us and their video for Isolene below.
Q: Touring is a big part of a musician’s job nowadays, any advice for artists getting into their first years of touring?
A: Enjoy it. Every city, every grimy little bar where you’re playing to no one. Every flat tire. Every bizarre local metal/folk band with whom you share the stage. Touring is the dream and it should be savored.
Q: You are leaving for tour, list 5 things you can't live without on the road.
A: 1) Sleeping bag, duh 2) Condoms, duh 3) Way more t-shirts than you think you’ll need, duh 4) Rollerblades, not so duh 5) Sorry (the board game)
Q: What challenges have you overcome as an artist, or band, that have made you a better band/artist?
A: Signing with a label that didn’t make sense for the band, getting dropped by a major label, and having to break ties with agents, managers, and lawyers. I don’t know if this has made us a better band, but we’ve sure been through a sh*tstorm.
Q: What motivates you to continue making music?
A: Literally, everything.
The first record that had an influence on me becoming a musician was Brian Adams So Far So Good, and the first instrument that I ever owned was a nylon string guitar.
Q: If you weren't a musician, what would you be doing?
A: Child therapy….and trying to invent a teleportation device.
